A Modern Faith for a Timeless God

Christianity isn’t outdated. It isn’t a set of rules to follow or a tradition to keep alive—it’s a living, breathing relationship with God. It’s real, raw, and relevant. But in today’s world, faith can feel complicated. We get lost in distractions, questions, and doubts.

Modern Christianity is about more than consuming content. It’s about living out faith in a way that makes an impact. It’s about seeking truth above all, wrestling with hard questions, embracing the uncomfortable, and choosing Jesus in a world that pulls us in every other direction.

About Me

My name is Ethan Beck, I was born on Christmas of 1997.

I didn’t always believe that Truth was above all. God had to reveal Himself to me before I could see that there is no higher pursuit than the pursuit of Truth. The world offers many distractions, many versions of what it calls “truth,” but when you strip away opinions, ideologies, and temporary pleasures, what remains? What is real? What is unshakable?

For many Gen Z’ers and Millennials, this search is happening in real time. They see the contradictions, the false promises, the shifting moral standards, and they start asking: If this isn’t right, then what is? I know this because I’ve seen it firsthand. As a small group leader in the student ministry at Clear Creek Community Church, I’ve had deep conversations with high school guys who are searching—not for surface-level faith, but for something solid, something real. They are spiritually inclined but not spiritually knowledgeable.

And God has been calling me to do more about spreading the truth of who he is, not the watered down version culture, tradition, and sins of the Church, currently and historically, paint Him in. I don’t want to get in the way of how He is trying to use me, so I started Modern Christianity—a podcast and community where we can ask the big questions together. I may not have all the answers, but I know that truth exists, and together, we will seek it.

But what is Truth?

Truth is an idea—a metaphysical reality that exists beyond perception and beyond personal opinion. It is constant, unchanging, and the foundation of everything meaningful. We know truth exists because we know what falsehood is. We recognize lies, deception, and corruption, which means we must, on some level, recognize truth. It is the cornerstone of morality, the standard by which we judge right from wrong, and the force that gives life meaning.

But truth is not just an abstract concept—it is personal. It is embodied in Jesus Christ. When Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), He wasn’t offering a metaphor. He was declaring that truth is not just something to be understood; it is something to be known. Truth is relational because God is relational.

Modern Christianity isn’t just for seekers—it’s for believers who are navigating faith in today’s world. Established Christians who want to live out their faith in a rapidly changing society will find that modern advancements in knowledge, psychology, philosophy, and even science don’t contradict faith; they strengthen it. The more we understand about the world, the more we see how it points back to its Creator.

I don’t want to just think about faith—I want to live it. Faith in action, not just thought. If you’re seeking, questioning, or striving to deepen your walk with Christ in a modern world, you’re not alone. Let’s take this journey together.
