— Proverbs 1:5
“But test everything; hold fast what is good.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:21
A Note Before THE LIST
Not every book on this list was written by a Christian thinker, but some of the most impactful books I’ve ever read—ones that helped me see God and His purpose for me more clearly—came from authors who didn’t know Him.
Truth is truth, and sometimes, even those who miss the mark on the most important thing, Jesus, still manage to uncover deep insights about life, purpose, discipline, and the human condition. These books contain wisdom, but they must be read with discernment.
As you go through this list, I encourage you to read everything through the lens of a Christian worldview. Take what is good, filter everything through Scripture, and let it sharpen your understanding. Knowledge without Christ is incomplete—but knowledge that leads you to Him is invaluable.
